In honor of the Autumnal Equinox, I wanted to share the lyrics to a song I wrote for the season.

Harvestide harkens the change of the season
As the Wheel turns us from Summer to Fall
For one brief moment day and night are even
Then darkness triumphs and we heed it’s call

As the frosts harden and winds blow much colder
And Autumn’s burnished leaves are all but gone
We embrace the dark but it does not take over
Deep in our hearts the Sun’s rays still shine on

Even as Winter’s grey months seem so endless
Life’s spark sustains us, fulfilling our need
Just as the grain that we gather at Harvest
Again in the Spring will become the seed
